Wedding Card Box

image

I’ve been dying to share this project. I video recorded the entire project from start to finish, but I’ve had trouble editing it 🎥🎬 ughhh.
This was for my Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law for their Black and White wedding in September of 2015.
The bottom two boxes are the largest size of the United States Postal Service. They’re free at your local post office!!!

The small top box is a kids shoe box. I cut the bottom of the middle box and the top of the bottom box so that the two boxes are hollow in the middle. This allows the envelopes to fall all the way to the bottom. The small to box on top is just for decoration, it is not connected to the inside of the bottom two boxes.
I wrapped 11 sheets of 12×12 scrapbook paper around each side. The top box has a lid that is wrapped individually instead of around the whole thing. I finished each individual box before hot glueing them all together.

I made mini boxes out of the same paper as the lid. It holds up the letters and flowers, but doesn’t stand out. The chipboard letters were from a $1 bin at Target. The paper flowers are from Prima. The picture below is viewed from the back.

I used strips from a diamond mesh roll for all 3 boxes for some bling 💎

My Sister-in-Law sent me this picture of the over flowing envelopes. SO AWESOME!

I loved making this box! I made one for my own wedding the night before my reception LOL it was simple and a lot smaller.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!!! Lots of love & hugs ❤

My Love & Happiness

Happy Monday!!! I wanted to post this yesterday, but my Hunny Bunny and I opted to pick up a pizza and watch a handful of New Releases. Sweet and blissful love. It’s what makes my world go ’round.
Speaking of love, I’m sharing a layout I made. My favorite photo of us the night of my brother’s wedding. I actually backed it on thick chipboard that I can frame and hang up.
I’m submitted this project to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes With Buttons.

I impulsively purchased the huge flower waiting in line at Michael’s (those dollar bins are dangerous lol). The key too!!! Everything else I pulled from my existing stash and just kept layering until it looked good.

BONUS DIY: If you look real close you can see some color sprays behind the flower and picture. This is the first time I use sprays or mists so I went light. Looking back now, I wish I had sprayed heavier lol
I bought empty spray bottles and gel food coloring. They don’t clog up the sprayers and the color is richer. I YouTubed tutorials and watched dozens of vids before deciding this was what I wanted to try first.

Thanks guys! Up next: I pulled out an unfinished project from the vault 😉

Creative Baptism

I skipped Wednesday, I know, but I grossly underestimated how exhausted I’d be after a day and a half of babysitting a set of 3 year old triplets LOL. My niece and nephews are visiting for a few days and even though I’m tired, I’m enjoying every moment!

Today’s post is my God Daughter’s baptism in September 2013. I have detailed supply lists so if you have questions, please ask. I made 90 handmade invitations, 30 topiary centerpieces, 10 paper cross centerpieces, and 75 favor tags.

I hand cut each invitation and vellum piece with the party information printed on it. Embossed the white cardstock with varying embossing plates.

The paper carnations are ordered from Silk Flowers Factory and hot glued in place because I did not want them moving while in the envelope. The pearl accents on the collar are individually placed with Inkssentials White Enamel.

The silk flowers on the Styrofoam ball are from Dollar Tree. I traveled to every Dollar Tree in a 20 mile radius to find this box full. Each topiary required 13 individual flower blossoms and there are 5 blossoms per bouquet for $1. I also purchased the Styrofoam pot inserts from Dollar Tree and cut them down for the perfect fit. I hot glued everything with a high temp gun.

I completely forgot to take a picture in my craft room before the venue. These crosses are created with a sturdy white pre-embossed cardstock from The Paper Studio Blanc Boutique Pearl Finish pack. There are 10 different embossed designs in each pack. I hand cut 2 shapes to make one cross. Tucked inside is purple tissue paper and a small rice bag tying down 3 white pearl balloons. I’m kicking myself for not having taken a before picture 😦wpid-partyfavor

The party favors are oober cute cross key-chains from Wrap With Us. I threw them in a basket and printed out the sign to frame it. This was posted at the exit so everyone could grab one as they left the event. Each tag had my God Daughter’s name, the event date, and thanking the recipient for joining us on such a special day.

Here you can see why we chose to do a small topiary, because the majority of the tables are small round club tables with four stools per table. The topiary doesn’t take needed tabletop space. They’re a small accent to what is already going on in a busy room. Not seen in these photos are the 4 large flat screens looping 30 pictures of my God Daughter from birth to today.

On the opposite side of the room are lounge seating with acrylic light tables. Yes, the tables lit up and slowly transitioned into different colors. To accent this open space we chose the cross and balloons.

I truly hope you enjoyed this post. The baptism reception was a success and out of 30 topiary centerpieces I only retrieved 10 at the end of the night LOL. I hope they’re being  beautifully displayed on someone’s mantle or desk ❤ it was pain staking to complete this project, but as always the result is incredibly satisfying.

What an Amazing Birthday!!!

SURPRISE!!! I’ve brought you an additional card for today 🙂 it’s my makeup for Wednesday lol

I love this one!!! I’m currently addicted to making paper rosettes. This one only spans about 2 inches, but it packs a big ole punch. I attached everything using my handy dandy hot glue gun. One supply item I wasn’t able to list below was the background paper. The subtle hearts are from the Colorbök Darling Jewel 6×6 paper pad. It really let’s the white embossing stand out.

Please enjoy!!! See you guys here promptly for Wednesday’s post 🙂 I have an awesome project not card related. Oooo!!!

Amazing Birthday!!!
